PTD-DBM is a synthetic peptide designed to promote hair follicle regeneration and prevent hair loss. It targets the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, a signaling pathway crucial for hair follicle development, by interfering with the interaction between CXXC5 and Dishevelled (Dvl), an upstream protein in this pathway.
